<p>In comparison with a field sequential driving system a liquid crystal display device is slow in response speed and can be made large in aperture rate. A unit pixel of the liquid crystal display panel is comprised of a first sub-pixel through which any light of two colors out of light of red, green and blue colors passes, and a second sub-pixel through which light of another color passes, wherein during the first sub-pixel one-frame image is time-divided by n, (n is an integer not less than 2), and each light information for the two colors is applied to the first sub-pixel at every 1/n frame and during a period of one frame light image information for another color is applied to the second sub-pixel. The light of the two colors is illuminated at every 1/n frame in synchronization with the application of the light image information for each of the two colors and the light of the another color is continuously illuminated during the period of the one frame image.</p> |
