PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex system capable of assembling software to be asynchronously executed such as a Java (R) application operated on a general OS without incorporating any special system to the OS. SOLUTION: In the multiplex system comprising a control-side computer and a standby-side computer, a file equalizing means of the control-side computer writes a file writing content of the control-side computer to an auxiliary storage means of the control-side computer, a file equalizing means of the standby-side computer writes the file writing content delivered from the file equalizing means of the control-side computer in an auxiliary storage means of the standby-side computer, and the control-side computer is executed without execution of the standby-side computer. When the standby-side computer is switched to control side, the computer which is newly laid on the control side is activated with the data retained in the auxiliary storage means as initial data.
