PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve an image with an object desired by a user without increasing processing amount in retrieval. SOLUTION: A "red" relevancy extracting part 402 extracts relevancy showing a such a level that an image is recalled by the color name of red based on the color of the pixels of the image. A retrieval condition input part 421 inputs the weight of color expressed by the color name such as red according to an operation from a user. A condition collating part 422 retrieves the image of color corresponding to the weight based on the relevancy extracted from the image and the weight.
