A cooling fan for an automobile is provided to manufacture a short cord blade by smoothly discharging ram air in a high-speed operation state and readily maintaining the stillness of a high-speed vehicle. A cooling fan for an automobile includes a hub(120), a plurality of blades(130), and a fan band(140). The hub is coupled to a rotary shaft of a motor. The plurality of blades are disposed at an outer periphery of the hub in a radial direction. The fan band connects ends of the blades in order to prevent deformation of the blades. A cord length is defined as a line connecting from a front edge to a rear edge of the blade. A stagger angle is defined as an incidence angle of the blade with respect to an imaginary horizontal line. A camber angle is defined as an angle between both ends of the code length from a cross-sectional center of the blade. Profile characteristics of the cooling fan are defined as the cord length, the stagger angle and the camber angle.
