PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector supporting mechanism enabling assembly work to be carried out easily and surely. SOLUTION: An opening part 26 for mounting is formed, and a first connector 30 is made up of a first connector body 31 and an engagement lever 32 pivotally supported on a pivot 33 so as to project from a rear end surface of the first connector body 31. One end part of the engagement lever 32 is provided with an engagement projection 43 engagingly striking the back side of a mounted plate 21 around the opening part 26 for mounting and a cam lever 42 engagingly striking the front side of the mounted plate 21 at a position closer to the pivot 33 than the engagement projection 43 while the other end part of the engagement lever 32 is provided with a joint projection 40D. An introduction groove part 54A for guiding the joint projection 40D in the fitting direction in the early stage of fitting of the first connector 30 and a curved groove part 54B for guiding the joint projection 40D in a direction other than the fitting direction in the late stage of fitting of the first connector 30 are formed in an inner wall of a second connector 50 for fitting the first connector 30 therein.
