<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collation device for collation of an image including a striped pattern, capable of achieving high collation precision by creating a noise-eliminated image for use while maintaining information of characteristic points to be used for collation. <P>SOLUTION: The collation device 1 comprises an image input part 3 to obtain an image including a striped pattern, a frequency spectrum analyzing part 120 to determine the frequency spectrum of the image, a frequency component selecting part 140 to select frequency components of which absolute value of amplitude is over a prescribed threshold value, an image evaluation part 150 to check if the selected frequency component meets the image quality suitable to collation in accordance with prescribed conditions, an image recomposing part 190 to recompose an image based on the selected frequency component in a case where it is determined that the prescribed condition is met, and a collation part 14 to carry out collation using the recomposed image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
