<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus whose circuit configuration can be made simpler. <P>SOLUTION: Image pickup parts 101, 111, 121 and an image communication processing part 138 are connected to one another via a single bus 131. An output control part 106 of the image pickup part 101 outputs an image data termination pattern showing output termination of image data to the bus 131 following output of the image data. A termination pattern detection part 119 of the image pickup part 111 detects the image data termination pattern to output an image pickup operation starting signal 119a.
