<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration wave motor drive control unit that has solved the problem wherein, conventionally a frequency control is often used for speed control of a vibration wave motor, but there are characteristics of drive frequency and rotational speed; in the case of speed control at low speed during deceleration, a correction amount for deviation between target speed and actual speed becomes small, and a delay occurs even a target speed is attained; and as a result, when reaching a target position for stoppage, a sufficiently low speed has not yet attained, and a sound is generated because of a sudden contact with a rotor in a state of a large amplitude of a vibrator during stoppage. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a speed curve set during deceleration of the vibration wave motor, while controlling the speed, by increasing or decreasing drive frequencies, a deceleration section from a set deceleration starting position up to target position is divided into plural regions, and a pulse width is made to decrease on a step-by-step basis from an initial width for each region toward the target position, and is made to arrive at the minimum pulse width, then the state is kept, and a motor is made to stop at the target position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
