PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reproduce stream data from a position just before switching to another input when switching to the other input is performed while viewing the stream data, and the input is returned to the stream data again. SOLUTION: When an input is switched to a DTV broadcast received by an antenna 2 during the reproduction of a video stream transmitted from a video server 10, a receiver 1 requests the video server 10 to stop reproducing the video stream and stores information on a position to stop reproducing the video stream. When the input is switched to the side of the video stream again in the receiver 1, it is requested from the receiver 1 to the video server 10 to restart reproducing the video stream being reproduced just before the last input switching. At such a time, the position information stored when the reproduction stop request is transmitted, is transmitted to the video server 10 and the reproduction of the video stream is started from the position where the input is switched the last time.
