INTERNET FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATION PROCESSING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide user-friendly Internet facsimile equipment, etc. by which communication is performed without a sense of incongruity even when timing of response after data reception is different between the transmitting side and the receiving side when image data are transmitted and received by using direct SMTP communication. SOLUTION: The Internet facsimile equipment has: a network communication means 15 by which communication by the direct SMTP is possible with an external device 201 via a network 102; a print means 12 for printing the image data from the external device 201 received by the network communication means and a response mode selection means 16 for selecting and setting either of an "immediate response mode" for transmitting a response after reception immediately after completion of reception and a "response mode after process" for transmitting the response after reception after completion of printing of the received data when the image data sent from the direct SMTP communication are received via the network communication means.
