PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser range finder providing a stable range finding function without causing a breakage or a damage of a pulse laser receiver by a reflected laser beam, even when receiving the strong reflected laser beam from a target located in a near distance. SOLUTION: The laser range finder 20 is provided with: a laser oscillator 22 for oscillating a laser beam a0 toward the object 21; a filter means 24 provided to input the reflected laser beam a2 of the laser beam a0 from the target 21, and to control an intensity of the reflected laser beam a2 by transmitting the reflected laser beam a2; the pulse laser receiver 25 for detecting an intensity of a reflected laser beam a3 transmitted through the filter means 24 to output a control voltage b corresponding to the intensity of the laser beam a3; a signal processor 26 for inputting the control voltage b and for outputting a bias electric power control signal e corresponding to a level of the control voltage b; and a bias voltage generator 32 for transmitting a bias voltage g to a photodetector 25b to control the sensitivity of the photodetector 25b of the pulse laser receiver 25 by inputting the bias electric power control signal e.
