A TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLING METHOD ON THE THREE-WAY INTERSECTION

A three-way crossroad and a traffic signal control method thereof are provided to enhance a passing speed of a vehicle by shortening a signal period of traffic signals in the three-way crossroad. A three-way crossroad includes a main road having upward and downward lanes and a sub-road which is formed to cross with the main road and has a left turning lane on the main road. The upward lanes of the main road include ingoing and outgoing upward lanes with respect to a cross section(3). The downward lanes of the main road include ingoing and outgoing downward lanes with respect to the cross section. The ingoing upward lanes of the main road include plural straight lanes(111a) and a left turning lane(111b). The outgoing upward lanes of the main road include plural straight lanes(112a) and a left ingoing lane(112b) corresponding to the ingoing upward lanes.
