PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate detection apparatus capable of accurately detecting desired particulates and performing continuous processing of detecting particulates by eliminating variations of the amount of particulates due to the time required to collect a fluid, variations of the amount of particulates due to locations at which a fluid is collected, etc. SOLUTION: The particulate detection apparatus is provided with a first particulate sensor 2, a sensor for detecting particulates in a fluid collected from any environment; a separation part 3 for separating particulates from the collected fluid; a second particulate sensor 5, a sensor for detecting particulates in the fluid after the separation part 3 has separated the particulates; and an operation part 8 for computing values on the amount of particulates in the collected fluid on the basis of signals outputted according to particulates detected by the first particulate sensor 2 and the second particulate sensor 5.
