To provide a road surface marking material excellent in visibility in the case of rainy weather and durability. A road surface marking material comprising: a substrate layer of a thermally fusible composition containing a thermoplastic binder, a body material, and a coloring material; retro-reflective elements fixed in the substrate layer, having a particle diameter of 500 µm to 2,000 µm, and comprising a core material, a binder layer formed on a surface of the core material, and high refractive and transparent fine particles having a refractive index between 2.0 and 2.5 and fixed in the binder layer; and low refractive and transparent fine particles fixed in the substrate layer, having a refractive index between 1.5 and 2.0 and a particle diameter of 100 µm to 1,000 µm. |
