A closing unit accommodates several driving rails connected with a coupler in an operating state. The closing unit is designed such that the driving rails are connected to the coupler to produce a connection having a predetermined coupling force by virtue of relative movement between the driving rails and coupler in displacement direction of the driving rails in order to move the furniture units. An independent claim is included for method for producing a device for influencing movement of furniture units.
