A dual-charge available mobile terminal is provided to solve a problem that when a user inadvertently inserts a different type of a charger, a mobile terminal generates an abnormal operation or its internal chip set is severely damaged. A connection detecting unit(20) detects whether a charger is connected or not and selectively activates a connection detect signal according to the detected result. A switching unit(10) selectively switches an introduction path of charging power applied from the charger according to an enable signal to allow the charging power to pass therethrough. A switching controller(30) selectively activates the enable signal according to the connection detect signal and an output voltage of the switching unit.
