An EGR cooler for a vehicle is provided to adjust the amount of cooling water according to the amount of exhaust gas by simultaneously adjusting the cooling water amount and the exhaust gas amount based on the opening degree of an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve. An exhaust gas recirculation cooler for a vehicle includes an exhaust gas recirculation cooler(10), an exhaust gas recirculation valve(20), and a controller(30). The exhaust gas recirculation cooler is installed at an exhaust gas recirculation chamber(11), and includes an exhaust gas pipe(12) and a cooling water pipe(14). Exhaust gas flows from an inlet port of the exhaust gas recirculation chamber to an outlet port of the exhaust gas pipe. The exhaust gas recirculation valve is installed an inlet port of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler. The controller receives and computes signals sensed by a cooling water sensor installed in a vehicle, and controls the amount of cooling water of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler according to the opening degree of the exhaust gas recirculation valve.
