The J-shaped probe can be inserted into an internal bodily vessel in a patient for the purpose of medical examination. It has an outer wall (1) formed from helically coiled fine dia. wire. A separate wire (3) passes through the coils with one end attached to the inner end coil (5) whilst the other end of the wire is accessible from the outer end of the coil (1). By applying tension to the wire (3) the radius of curvature of the probe can be varied in order to facilitate its insertion into and removal from an internal bodily vessel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Probe for examination of internal bodily vessels. The curvature of the probe can be varied.
