A method and a system for transferring characters between portable terminals are provided to implement character transference between portable terminals, thereby widely using character of the portable terminal, providing various additional services and sharing function and information. A system for transferring characters between portable terminals comprises the followings: a first terminal(100) having a first storing unit for storing characters, a first character operation unit for operating the characters and a first wire/wireless interface; a second terminal(200) having a second wire/wireless interface capable of communicating with the first wire/wireless interface and a second storing unit for storing the received character; and a terminal recognizing unit(170) for recognizing the other terminal. |
