METHOD FOR FORMING NON-WETTING COATING LAYER ON INKJET NOZZLE PLATE

A method for forming a hydrophobic coating layer on a nozzle plate of an ink-jet head is provided to widen the width of the selection of hydrophobic materials by forming the hydrophobic coating layer due to a stamping method using a solution with the hydrophobic material. A method for forming a hydrophobic coating layer(170') on a nozzle plate(130) of an ink-jet head includes the steps of preparing a stamp(200) and the nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzles(131), coating a surface of the prepared stamp with hydrophobic materials(170), connecting the hydrophobic materials coated on the surface of the stamp to a surface of the nozzle plate and heating the nozzle plate to adhere the hydrophobic material to the surface of the nozzle plate, and separating the stamp from the nozzle plate. During separating the stamp from the nozzle plate, a part adhered on the surface of the nozzle plate among the hydrophobic materials remains to form the hydrophobic coating layer and a part corresponding to the nozzles are separated from the nozzle plate with the stamp together.
