A method for arranging timber by spaces of a building for the environment of the human body is provided to form environment beneficial to the human body by analyzing natural volatile organic compounds emitted from natural timber and arranging timber suitable for each spot on the interior of a room. The method for arranging timber by spaces of a building for the environment of the human body comprises the steps of: dismantling a small chamber(16) and cleaning with water, applying heat in an oven and cooling down to the temperature measurement, and keeping an emission test chamber at a temperature of 25±1.0°C and a relative humidity of 50±5% to analyze the emission of natural volatile organic compounds emitted from pinewood, larch, whitewood and cryptomeria; controlling the ventilation capacity per the unit area by ventilating less than 0.5±0.05 times per hour, controlling the background density of supply air below 20‘‰/m^3 and keeping the sum of air flow rate to be lower than the ventilation capacity of the small chamber when collecting air; locating samples in the small chamber; volatilizing the samples by heating the small chamber at 260°C and over for 15 minutes continuously; discharging the vaporized air from the small chamber to the outside through an absorption tube(18), and flowing the discharged air in an analysis device connected with an exhaust pipe of the small chamber; and analyzing volatile organic compounds and Formaldehyde discharged to each timber using gas chromatography(GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).
