An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to effectively prevent heat generated from a light source from being transmitted to an LCD panel, by forming concaved portions within a mold frame correspondingly to lamp holders. A light guiding plate(320) is positioned at the rear of an LCD panel(200). A light source unit(330) is positioned at one side of the light guiding plate to supply light to the LCD panel. The light source unit includes a lamp(332) having electrodes connected to an external power, lamp holders(334) enclosing the electrodes, and a lamp cover(336) covering the lamp and the lamp holder. A lower cover(360) is positioned at the rear of the light source unit and the light guiding plate, and parallel with a plane of the light guiding plate. A mold frame(370) is positioned above the light source unit. The mold frame includes a first frame part(376) and a second frame part(377) extended from the first frame part. The mold frame has concaved portions(378) formed correspondingly to the lamp holders as adiabatic portions.
