A method and a system for managing diet by constructing a database with a menu of restaurants are provided to offer calories and/or nutriment quantities of each menu of the restaurants, and recommend the menu based on the calories. A menu information database(110) stores information including the calories and the nutriment quantities of each menu of the registered restaurants. A calorie output part(150) outputs the calories taken from the selected menu based on the information stored in the menu information database if the user selects the menu of the restaurant. A nutriment quantity output part(160) outputs the nutriment quantities taken from the selected menu based on the information stored in the menu information database if the user selects the menu. If the selected menu is not registered to the menu information database, the calorie output part outputs the calories of the selected menu by using an average calorie of the menu having the same name from the menu information database. |
