The device has a flap (16) to deflect the air to front of a wheel (12) of a vehicle such as motor vehicle, in movement. The flap is movable between a lower position deployed towards the ground (18) and a retracted higher position. A displacement unit constituted of an electric motor, a toothed wheel, a toothed segment and a slide, displaces the flap towards the ground and towards rear of the vehicle so that the flap in the deployed lower position is parallel to a front surface of the wheel and outside a wheel house (14).
