The felted fiber layer production procedure consists of producing a fiber layer with a width (L1) greater than the combined with (L2, L3) of the two separate layers, subjecting it to a pre-felting process and separating it into two adjoining layers (5, 6) by a cutting tool (4). The two layers then pass through a felting process (C) before they are rolled up with a gap (7) of at least 30 mm between them that can be used for a complementary operation (D). The felting plate is made without barbed needles in the zone of the gap between the two layers. |
