<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver capable of stably and precisely retaining a transmitter assembly (TOSA) and a receiver assembly (ROSA). <P>SOLUTION: The TOSA 15 and the ROSA 16 are respectively retained by three bent pieces 21a to 21c which are front end parts of a base 20 constituting the optical transceiver and are formed on positions different from one another in the front/back direction. Thereby, the same effect as the state of supporting the TOSA 15/ROSA 16 by using an edge piece having a thickness corresponding to a distance in the front and back direction between the bent pieces 21b, 21c and the bent piece 21a is obtained, and a stress of pressurizing the TOSA 15/ROSA 16 can be stably applied by the base 20.
