PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ozone resistance while the development of an image blending is suppressed.

SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording medium at least includes a water-soluble metal salt consisting of a cationic polyurethane resin, a bivalent water-soluble magnesium salt and/or a water-soluble calcium salt, and futher includes polyvinyl alcohol as a water-soluble binder, and a boric acid as a crosslinker. The spread x (g/m2) of the cationic polyurethane resin and the spread y (g/m2) of the bivalent water-soluble metal salt satisfy the relationships: 0.3≤x≤5.0 and 0.01x≤y≤0.5x.
