PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device for oil permeation property which can evaluate, with a simple structure and highly efficiently, the permeation of a fuel oil through a filter. SOLUTION: The oil permeation property testing device 1 comprises the sample container 10, the connecting tubes 20, 21, the opening/closing valve 30, the filter 40 and the measuring vessel 50. In the test of the oil permeation property, the following steps are carried out: the assembly step for assembling the oil permeation property testing device 1; the sample filling step wherein a fuel oil A is filled in an amount of 1L in the sample container 10 in the state of the valve 30 being closed; and the time measuring step wherein the time measurement is started with a time measuring means as the same time that the valve 30 is opened and the elapsed time is measured with the time measuring means every increment of 0.1 L of the amount of the fuel oil A held inside the measuring vessel 50. The amount of the fuel oil A used for the test is sufficiently 1 L and 20 minutes is enough as the testing time and the permeation property of oil through filter can be evaluated highly efficiently. Because it is not necessary to install a dedicated pump unlike the conventional one, the oil permeation property testing device 1 can be simplified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
