PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a machining process and easily improve the dimensional accuracy of an internal circumferential face shape. SOLUTION: This machining method of the foil includes a transferring/bending process 12 for molding a plate-shaped foil material composed of metal into a curved surface shape while forming a plurality of recesses/projections on the foil material, a quenching process for quenching the foil material molded into a curved surface shape, a grinding process 14 for forming the foil with a plurality of through-holes by grinding the recesses/projections on the inner circumferential face side of the quenched and curved-surface-shape foil material, and a tempering process for tempering the foil material formed with an edge.
