PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage method and a transport method for a by which the capable of maintaining the nanoparticle dispersion can be kept in a dispersive state for a long period of time, and the aggregation of particles can be prevented even when transporting the dispersion. SOLUTION: In the nanoparticle dispersion storage method, metal nanoparticles covered by a protective agent or nanoparticle dispersion with metal oxide nanoparticles dispersed in a solvent are stored at the temperature not higher than the melting point of the protective agent, or at the temperature of≤10°C if the melting point is≤10°C.
