PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of removing passengers' uncomfortable feeling and allowing passengers to use this conveyor comfortably. SOLUTION: Intervals between a plurality of channels on each step 8 and illuminance of a plurality of handrail illumination devices 21 are unequal to give 1/f fluctuation for providing harmonious regularity and irregularity to the passenger, respectively. Unequal coloring is applied to many projecting parts and/or many recessed parts on a getting-on-and-off plate 16 to give 1/f fluctuation to the passenger visually. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
