摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control an air amount flowing in a bypass passage in a throttle device having the bypass passage. <P>SOLUTION: This throttle device comprises a throttle valve 40 opening and closing the intake air passage 31 of a throttle body 30, the bypass passage 32 so formed to bypass the throttle valve 40, a valve element 50 opening and closing the bypass passage 32, and a stepping motor 60 driving the valve element 50. The bypass passage 32 includes an upstream passage 32a and a downstream passage 32b so extending as to generally cross perpendicular to the upstream passage 32a. The valve element 50 has a conical head part 51 formed to be inserted into and removed from the downstream passage 32b and to be brought into contact with an opening edge 32b and also so formed to face the conical surface 51a toward the upstream passage 32a. Since the relation between the moving stroke of the valve element to the air amount characteristic becomes linear, the air amount can be accurately controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
