<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic money deposition machine capable of depositing electronic money according to a desired deposition amount and the denomination of charged currency. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic money deposition machine is provided with: a denomination designation part 120 for designating the denomination of currency; a currency identification device 150 for receiving charged currency only when the denomination of the input currency is matched with predetermined denomination designated by a denomination designation part 120; and a control part 200 for adding the amount of the currency received by the currency identification device 150 to an electronic money balance 11b stored in an IC chip 11. The amount of the currency is added to the electronic money balance 11b according to the number of inputs of the currency matched with the predetermined denomination designated by the denomination designation part 120, and the electronic money is paid according to the desired deposition amount and the denomination of the input currency.
