<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which exhibits satisfactory display quality, particularly, in relation to liquid crystal display device with which images differing from one another are displayed in a plurality of directions. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device equipped with a liquid crystal display panel 1 for displaying an image disposed between a polarizer 41 and an analyzer 51; a surface light source 60 for illuminating the liquid crystal display panel 1; and a viewing angle control element 70, disposed between the liquid crystal display panel 1 and the surface light source 60 and including at least a liquid crystal panel for control the viewing angle of the liquid crystal display panel 1, the liquid crystal display device is characterized to include the viewing angle control element 70, having a polarization-reflection plate which functions as at least one out of the polarizer and the analyzer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
