<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock rotation of a steering wheel by efficiently utilizing a space around a steering device having a transmission ratio variable means. <P>SOLUTION: In this steering wheel lock device, a transmission ratio variable device 40 has an input shaft 42 rotating together with a steering wheel, an output shaft 20 steering the wheels by driving a steering unit by rotation, a wave generator 60 generating a differential in a rotary direction between the input shaft 42 and the output shaft 20, and a flexible spline 65. A locking mechanism 30 locks the rotation of the input shaft 42. The locking mechanism 30 has a lock holder 70 having a plurality of teeth projecting outwardly in a radial direction from an approximate same periphery, and a lock bar 32 locking and unlocking the rotation of the lock holder 70 by moving forward and backward between the teeth.
