PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-efficiency and low-emission in a wide operating range between a low-load area and a high-load area in an internal combustion engine utilizing hydrogen having the function of separating a gasoline hydride into a hydrogen rich gas and a dehydrated gasoline. SOLUTION: When the internal combustion engine is operated in a predetermined operating range, HCCI combustion in which the gasoline hydride is used as a fuel is performed. When the internal combustion engine is operated in the load area higher than the predetermined operating range, lean combustion in which the hydrogen rich gas and the dehydrated gasoline are used as a fuel is performed.
