PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a frame body by utilizing surface glass, without particularly impairing the inner-outer appearances of a building and see-through performance via the surface glass. SOLUTION: This surface glass fixing structure is formed by fixing the polygonal surface glass B covering the inside to the inside of the frame body 4 arranged in the building. A spacer 9 softer than the surface glass and the frame body and capable of transmitting external force over the frame body and the surface glass, is installed between an end surface 8 and the frame body along a plurality of side edges 12 and 13 in the surface glass. The end surface of the surface glass is separated from the frame body over the whole periphery. The surface glass is fixed to the frame body so that compressive force can be transmitted to the surface glass from the frame body via the spacer, and at least a part of the spacer is installed over a predetermined length range from a corner part between both end surfaces and the frame body for sandwiching the corner part C in the surface glass.
