PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish reduction of noise and to prevent fluctuation of contact resistance of an energization contact part. SOLUTION: The electric heater has a heat generation body 10 in which a heat generation element 12, a retaining unit 11, an electrode plate 13 and a heat release fin 14 are superposed, and has first and second frames 20, 30 on upper and lower end surfaces in the superposing direction of the heat generation body. The heater has first and second springs 40, 50 for pressing from the heat generation body and both side ends of the first and second frames in the superposing direction of the heat generation body and the first and second frames, and has a first cover 60 attached to the heat generation body and both side ends of the first and second frames and positioned on a terminal 131 side and a second cover 70 positioned on an opposite side of the terminal. Clearance abutment means 21, 31, 72, 73 abutted on the first cover and the first and second frames and the second cover and the first and second frames are provided in a clearance t in a front direction of the first cover and the first and second frames and in a clearance t in a front direction of the second cover and the first and second frames.
