PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side sill structure for a vehicle capable of restraining deformation of a center pillar at the time of lateral collision. SOLUTION: In this side sill structure for a vehicle, a closed-section side sill 2 extending forward and backward of a vehicle is formed of a side sill inner 21 and a side sill reinforcement 22, and a gusset 3 is installed inside the side sill 2 below the center pillar 4. The side sill 2 is formed by welding a top flange 212A and a bottom flange 213A of the side sill inner 21 with an approximate U-shaped cross section, and a top flange 222A and a bottom flange 223A of the side sill reinforcement 22 with an approximate U-shaped cross section.
