A printer is constituted such that the ink is fed from an ink device to a rubber drum (11) through a plate drum (12) while a print sheet being fed from a paper feed unit through an intermediate drum (14), so that the print sheet is fed and printed, when it passes between the rubber drum (11) and a pressure drum (13), with the ink from the rubber drum (11). A rotary encoder (31) detects the rotational position of the rubber drum (11). In response to the commands of cue switches (33b, 33c), a control unit (32) can control the drive of a drive unit (16) to rotate and stop the rubber drum (11) to and at a blanket exchanging angle, at which a blanket (28) wound on the circumferential portion of the rubber drum (11) is exchanged.
