<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor excellent in resistance to heat by suppressing heat conduction from the tip side to the base end side. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 comprises: a sensor element 10; an element holding body 11; an atmosphere-side insulator 12; and an atmosphere-side cover 13. The atmosphere-side cover 13 is formed by forming a stepped section 130 opposed to a base face 120 of the atmosphere-side insulator 12. A presser member 14 for pressing the atmosphere-side insulator 12 to the element holding body 11 is arranged between the stepped section 130 and the base face 120 of the atmosphere-side insulator 12. Recession and protrusion parts 2 formed in at least one of the stepped section 130; the presser member 14; and the base face 120 of the atmosphere-side insulator 12 are arranged in at least either a contact part between the stepped section 130 and the presser member 14 or a contact part between the presser member 14 and the base face 120 of the atmosphere-side insulator 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
