PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine and a food and drink having lipid metabolism improving functions imparted thereto.

SOLUTION: A lipid metabolism improving agent, the medicine having the lipid metabolism improving functions imparted thereto and the food and drink for improving the lipid metabolism comprise an iron-lactoferrin holding at least three atoms of iron per molecule of lactoferrins as an active ingredient. The iron-lactoferrin has actions for lowering the total cholesterol value, the neutral fat value and the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol value and raising the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol value in the serum and remarkably improves the lipid metabolism.
