<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination unit capable of efficiently extracting light and of uniformly illuminating an illumination region and manufacturable at a low cost; and to provide a lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system 100 is composed of a tubular member 10; light source bodies 20; end surface members 30; and reflecting plates 40. A plurality of projecting parts 11 each having an acute-angled tip are formed on the inside surface of the tubular member 10. The projecting parts 11 are laterally formed into strip-like forms at predetermined intervals with respect to the longitudinal direction of the tubular member 10, and integrally molded by the same material as that of the tubular member 10; the bottom between the projecting parts 11 is formed into a concave curved surface, for instance, a semi-circular shape; and the tip of the projecting part 11 is formed at an angle of 15-60°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
