PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver which notifies a user that the main power supply is not turned off at the next power supply on, if the main power supply is turned off during execution of software downloading, with difference between a main power supply off and standby being sensed. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver discriminates whether a software is being downloaded or not based on the trigger data containing schedule for software downloading. When shifting to standby, a power supply off information due to standby is stored in a nonvolatile memory, and the power supply off information is read out of the nonvolatile memory at the next power supply on, for sensing main power supply off. Based on the discrimination result and the sensing result, an alarm panel indicating that a main power supply is not turned off is displayed for a user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
