<p>A household appliance (1) comprises a cabinet (2), a door (5) and a door block/release device (6). In normal conditions, the device (6) is actuated by electrically powered actuator means (22) whilst in case of need the device (6) can be actuated by means of a release system (30,32,34,36,37). The device (6) comprises an actuation element (23), preferably made of shape memory material, inserted within a movable body (30). The device (6) is capable of passing from the condition of blocking to that of releasing the door (5) both by means of a movement of the actuation element (23) caused by the electrical power supply control of the actuator means (22) and by means of a manual actuation, using the housing body (30) as an element of manual mechanical transmission.</p> |
