PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fluctuation in output voltage in a power supply device configured to switch and actuate a series regulator and a switching regulator when the power supply device performs switching operation. SOLUTION: The series regulator 1 is provided with a first output capability used in single operation and a second output capability relatively larger than the first output capability. It is configured to selectively switch these two output capabilities. When operation is switched from the switching regulator 2 to the series regulator 1, the series regulator 1 is operated with the first output capability. When operation is switched from the series regulator 1 to the switching regulator 2, the series regulator 1 and the switching regulator 2 are simultaneously operated for a predetermined period immediately after the switching.
