PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic pressure controller of a toroidal type continuous transmission, which controller can easily and accurately control hydraulic pressure even when initial pressure varies. SOLUTION: The hydraulic pressure controller of the toroidal type continuous transmission supplies working oil to an actuator by controlling the specified initial pressure according to a control command, wherein the controller comprises a command value setting means for setting the control command based on the difference between a target value and an actual value, and based on a predetermined reference initial pressure, and further comprises a correcting means (step S2 to S4) for correcting the control command determined by the command value setting means according to the degree of the change when the initial pressure has been changed from the reference initial pressure.
