PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm an operation for a display, and to instantaneously confirm a life of a battery easily at the same time, in an electric leakage checker using the battery as an electric power source for the display. SOLUTION: This electric leakage checker is provided with a zero-phase current transformer 4 for detecting a leak current in a cable way, the magnetic inversion type display 7 for displaying an electric leakage condition when an output current from the zero-phase current transformer 4 exceeds a specified value, the battery 10 for supplying electric power to the display 7, a capacitor C1 charged by the battery 10, and a momentary type switch 8 allowing operations to a testing position and a reset position. The switch 8 is operated to the testing position; a discharge current of the capacitor C1 is made to flow in a set coil SC; a disk 16 of the display 7 is inverted, and the leakage condition is test-displayed. The switch 8 is operated to the reset position; the discharge current of the capacitor C1 is made to flow in a reset coil RC, and the leakage display of the display 7 is erased thereby.
