PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element having a thermally stable refractive index while keeping a constant water content, and excellent blue light transmissivity. SOLUTION: An object lens 7 as the optical element is obtained by molding a resin material for the optics, containing a thermoplastic resin and hydrophobic oxide particles. The hydrophobic oxide particle is obtained by subjecting a homogeneous oxide particle in which silicon oxide and one or more kinds of oxides of metals except the silicon are homogeneously dispersed to hydrophobizing treatment.
