PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that opening property of an air valve initially set by a stepping amount is changed since the property of a potentiometer, a strain gauge, and a mechanical part which are detectors is changed by secular change etc. though the opening of the air valve used for a dental treatment instrument etc. is set so as to obtain prescribed opening property according to the stepping amount of a pedal in initial setting. SOLUTION: This foot control device is composed of a control circuit 11 which prepares ideal output property for controlling the treatment instrument such as a handpiece to the preliminarily prepared stepping amount of the pedal, which automatically performs zero point adjustment from output in a state the pedal is not stepped when power is supplied when deviated from the ideal output property due to the secular change etc., and which corrects the ideal output property by comparing an output when the pedal is stepped with the preset ideal output.
